i found these colourful plastic round stickers in japan and couldn’t wait to use them on a card! after much thought and planning, i mixed the various ‘bubble’ colours and sizes and carefully stuck them onto the card sporadically. then i added fun stamp impressions in bright and happy colours to complement the bubbles.

do you ever lament on those long gone days of handwritten letters in perfect manuscript? we often wax nostalgia too and decided to create these series of cards inspired by vintage postcards and letters.

we stained the cards’ background with dark cream stamp pad, touching it up with a darker colour to create an old stained paper effect. then a manuscript rubber stamp was inked with dark brown water colour and stamped onto the card for a slightly smudgy appearance. two sticker postage stamps were added, and another light layer of dark cream ink to blend the words and stamps into the background.
